Pauni Gate is another entry point to the Umred Karhandla Wildlife Sanctuary in Maharashtra, India. It is located on the Nagpur-Chandrapur road, about 60 kilometers from Nagpur city.

Pauni Gate is open from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and visitors can enter the sanctuary by obtaining a permit and paying the entrance fee. The permit can be obtained from the gate itself or from the official website of the Maharashtra Forest Department.

The gate is well-maintained and staffed by forest department officials who ensure that visitors follow the rules and regulations of the sanctuary. The sanctuary offers a range of activities for visitors, including jeep safaris, nature walks, and bird watching. The Jeep safaris are the most popular activity and are conducted by trained guides who take visitors deep into the sanctuary to spot wildlife.

Pauni Gate is less crowded than the Karhandla Gate and the Gothangaon Gate. It is also located in a less developed area, providing visitors with a more authentic wilderness experience.

It is imperative to note that visitors are required to follow certain rules and regulations while inside the sanctuary. This includes maintaining a safe distance from the animals and not littering. This helps to ensure the safety of both visitors and wildlife.
